Best Man: No he and I met in college. We played basketball together again. Probably not a surprise to many but a lot of research never been a best man before. It is truly one of the honors of my life to be here just to represent and to be a part of this. I wrote down some notes to make sure that I didn’t screw this up. So I’m gonna look down occasionally. It’s not because I wasn’t studied but because I wanna make sure I don’t screw this up So again about the honor of being named G’s best man. I don’t think you really truly can self appreciate until you see yourself through Somebody care about eyes. So Thio actually have this honor bestowed upon me. I couldn’t be more gracious. I remember exactly where I was when I got the phone call. In fact I missed the call. Got a voicemail Say Well this is really important. It’s urgent. You should call me right back. Oh my gosh key. All right let me call back. Honey can I come back? So I was in the car with my girlfriend and calling back. He says Well why should be my best man. Are you still there? Well I will. Oh yeah Yeah yeah yes yes. Thank you. Yeah I’m that would be incredible. So we had a great conversation for Ah a couple more minutes. And I said G never done this before. I am totally choked up. I’m not the kind of person who typically is at a loss for words. So I found myself there in that moment and from that point on I said You know what? I have to make sure that this is the most amazing process for the both of you. So what I wanted to do today was listed number of qualities that I’ve found really to be a big part about who he is and what’s gonna help him as an incredible husband as well. So I want to share a few with you. I could literally scroll for minutes through the qualities that make G an incredible person. But I’m gonna share with you some of the ones that really meant the most to me that I think you’re gonna really translate well to being the best husband he could be. So the 1st 1 I wanted to bring up was just loyalty. It’s a word that I feel like he’s lost some kind of meaning in today’s society. And I think I wanted to just kind of uh grow it and flush it out to let you know what it means to be about G. So I could give you examples upon examples about G in general about our time that we’ve spent together. But I know from the time we spent together G and I would always have my back. I could be across the country which where I am now I’m a flight away. Whenever he needs me I’m gonna be there. Uh and now that he’s won with his beautiful wife whatever I can do to support them I know G and a heartbeat would do the same for me. And as you get older I guess and wiser you start to realize you know what who means the most to me who would be there for me Who can I be? Therefore and every single time I’ve done one of those little rounds of inward thinking. I’ve known that he would be there and I have known that I would be there for G. So key. Thank you for being an incredibly loyal friend and brother on Dhe. I know that you’ll be incredibly loyal husband as well. Integrity G embodies the word integrity. There is nobody that G feels that he is above. And from a competitive standpoint there was also nobody that he feels about him. And I saw that in his eyes is a college athlete that he saw no fear whatsoever. He never felt that there was anyone who he could not be better than on the court or in life and at the same time as well in whatever circumstances he knew that he was no better than anyone else. To have that level of integrity and understanding of your value in the world and everyone else’s is truly rare. And that’s a quality. I think that will really continue to help you. A CZ. You move through this marriage so work ethic who write as a husband a za friend Work ethic is equally important as it is on a basketball court. But the pastor today said something really that resonated with me which was there will be good times. There will be bad and it’s truly how you’re going toe act in those tough times on that work ethic that you’re going to embody. It’s gonna help you get through that. There’s nobody better for that than G sincerity. It ties in with a lot of the words that I said prior to this one. But G does not speak words that are not sincere. I would challenge you all who know him to actually find a moment where he said something that he did not mean that he did not mean with all of his heart. It’s one of reasons why he doesn’t tell very good jokes but they actually end up extremely funny because he tries so sincerely and family values two words. But again two words that I know are important to me because I don’t have a brother. Uh I don’t have a sibling that I’m extremely close with. I realized that I had a brother my senior year in college. You go through ups and downs in your life and you bond with people you have. You have friends they go in and out of your life. But the people that actually stay there maybe you haven’t talked to in a week a month. A year? Two years? Not if it means anything. When you have a bond with somebody you know that they are your family. Nothing changes because you bonded spiritually. You’ve bonded with your morals your principles everything. And you know that you’re gonna be there for that person. G is so family oriented. I can’t imagine a better husband like I said and a better father one day as well. And I know again did I have a brother for the rest of my life? A family member? So G I just wanted to thank you for that. And I want to thank both the couple A cz Well I want to leave everyone just with one final impression about the term best man itself again The term itself is an honor to have. But I thought about it. I said to myself Best man best man. Uh and I said to myself You know what? Let’s let’s really celebrate who the best man truly is here today. And if I leave any impression with all of you about my experiences with G it’s that you take all of these characteristics all these principles all the things I just spoke to you about with G. It’s that he truly embodies the best man that I have ever met. I’m lucky to have met him. And I cherish the time that I’ve spent with him in the time that I will spend with him moving forward. And I am so proud to be here. I wish you guys the best of luck. And I know in my heart of hearts that there is nothing that could stop you with you guys both in this 100%. Thank you. Wait.
